Who are we?

◊ Two partners attracted by new horizons

 Yannick, French-Lao, studied the restaurant profession in France at the Catering College of Thonon-les-Bains.
 Gilles, originally from Lorraine, was previously a Consultant for France Telecom before discovering the charms of Laos and deciding to live here in 2000.


Since the opening of Elephant Restaurant, they have opened three other restaurants, Le Cafe Ban Vat Sene, Coconut Garden and L’Elephant Vert, that are now institutions in Luang Prabang.

◊ The team as a big family

Other professionals make up the rest of the restaurant team; carpenters, drivers and delivery men, warehouse staff, metal craftsmen, electricians, refrigeration specialists, mechanics, builders, cleaning staff, linen maids, security guards, florists, accountants and managers.
Forming a big family, the employees have also created a football team, winning the Luang Prabang’s service industry’s championship regularly.
