Who are we?
◊ Two partners attracted by new horizons
• Yannick, French-Lao, studied the restaurant profession in France at the Catering College of Thonon-les-Bains.
• Gilles, originally from Lorraine, was previously a Consultant for France Telecom before discovering the charms of Laos and deciding to live here 10 years ago.
Since opening l'Eléphant, they have together set up a flower and spices shop “Aux jardins de l’Éléphant”and opened two other relaxing places in Luang Prabang: Le Café Ban Vat Sene” located in the main street and “Le Patio Café”close to the Ethnology Museum.
◊ The team as a big family
Other professionals make up the rest of the restaurant team; carpenters, drivers and delivery men, warehouse staff, metal craftsmen, electricians, refrigeration specialists, mechanics, builders, cleaning staff, linen maids, security guards, florists, accountants and managers.
This brood makes up a large family and has even set up a football team which won the Luang Prabang hotels and restaurants cup. Not bad... !
